I can’t get the Samsung Health drink water reminder to work on my Watch 6. On my S10 phone with Android 12, I go to Samsung Health>Water>Set Target>Get Reminders to Drink Water, set time range and every 5 min. Here’s what I’ve tried:

-Cleared the cache on Samsung Health by going to Settings>Apps>Samsung Health>Force Stop>Storage>Clear Cache.

-Activated notifications by going to Notifications>Samsung Health>Show Notifications and tried both “Allow sound and vibration” and “Deliver quietly.”

-I’ve done the same by going through the Samsung Health app. On my watch, I’ve also gone to Settings>Notifications>App Notifications>Allow Notifications for Samsung Health.

The solution doesn’t have to be for water. Any reminder that I can set my watch to buzz every 5 to 10 min without having to silence it will work.

Have you turned the notification categories on and made sure water is enabled? Settings/notifications/advanced settings/manage notification categories for each app. Then return to the app notification settings, tap on the categories and select/deselect the ones you want.

Realaud,

Yes, I have done that. I know that the Manage Notification Categories menu is working because I have deselected categories such as "Sleep" and they have subsequently gone silent. The "Water" category is on. Again, I am not using this reminder for water...it just seemed like the best feature to set a periodic alarm as a reminder that did not need to be manually silenced each time. If there is another feature that can do this, I would use it instead.

The only other thing I can think of would be to set a medication reminder and turn off its sound - keep it set to sound and vibration and select "silent" as its sound. Create a bogus medication and set the dose to every 10 minutes. I might be able to come up with a better solution if I knew what you are trying to accomplish with this every 5 minute reminder. You can also set an alarm and set its sound to silent. You can set it to silent and to snooze for 5 minutes forever. You will have to turn off the alarm at times you don't need it. Set it for the days you want, starting at the time you want, then keep hitting snooze until you dismiss it by turning it off. You can try setting a routine to run a timer every 5 minutes, but then you have to add as many timers as you need for the day and that can get cumbersome. I think the snooze alarm would be the best bet

Hello Realaud,

Thanks for the suggestions. I am needing reminders to take a deep breath and focus while playing a very intense sport. I currently use an alarm and manually repeat it every 10 minutes. However, it is disruptive to stop and reset my watch when it alarms. I'd like for it to briefly vibrate and not require a reset every 10 minutes. I believe that the above suggestions all require a manual reset.
