I can’t get the Samsung Health drink water reminder to work on my Watch 6. On my S10 phone with Android 12, I go to Samsung Health>Water>Set Target>Get Reminders to Drink Water, set time range and every 5 min. Here’s what I’ve tried:

-Cleared the cache on Samsung Health by going to Settings>Apps>Samsung Health>Force Stop>Storage>Clear Cache.

-Activated notifications by going to Notifications>Samsung Health>Show Notifications and tried both “Allow sound and vibration” and “Deliver quietly.”

-I’ve done the same by going through the Samsung Health app. On my watch, I’ve also gone to Settings>Notifications>App Notifications>Allow Notifications for Samsung Health.

The solution doesn’t have to be for water. Any reminder that I can set my watch to buzz every 5 to 10 min without having to silence it will work.

Is the water reminder the only health notification that does not work? It seems strange that only one notification will not work.

If you set the medication reminder and it goes off and you ignore it, it will repeat until dismissed. I am not sure of the time interval, though. It could be 15 or 30 minutes. I think it's 15. So, you don't actually have to stop and interact with it. You can try setting a workout routine with a break every 10 minutes (not sure if there's a notification of the break). Add exercise, add break and add the exercise again until you added enough.

Can I ask why you need a reminder to breathe and focus while you are already engaged in an activity?

The snooze doesn't require a reset I think it will automatically snooze without interaction.  I don't know for sure because my alarm sound is so obnoxious (on purpose), I turn it off immediately and I never hit the snooze button.

This is the solution provided to me by Samsung help

To help fix the issue, please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined below:

1. Check for Updates:

- Open the Samsung Health app.

- Tap the three dots.

- Select Settings, then About Samsung Health.

- Tap the update button if available.

2. Backup Data: (Important before proceeding)

- Open the Samsung Health app.

- Tap Menu (three dots) and select Settings.

- Tap Sync with Samsung account and enable the switch at the top.

- Optionally, enable Sync only on Wi-Fi if you wish to conserve data.

- Tap Sync now to back up your data immediately.

3. Resetting the App:

Clear Cache:

- Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Samsung Health > Storage > Clear Cache.

Clear Data: (Resets to factory settings; personal settings will be lost)

- Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Samsung Health > Storage > Clear Data.
