I am using Extend Unlock with my Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy Watch6. The unlocking functionality works well. However, the flaw in the current setup is that the phone will be unlocked regardless of the watch lock status.
How it works now:
1. Phone is locked.
2. Watch is locked.
3. Watch connects to phone.
4. Phone is unlocked.
This is a problem because there is no authentication step.
Feature request:
Add option to only allow phone unlock when watch is unlocked.
I have done more research on this topic and discovered the feature in question does exist for the Google ecosystem under the name "Watch Unlock". Several articles online list this as a feature that is coming to Galaxy devices. Can anyone confirm that this feature is coming? If so, is there a timeline/update cycle to be aware of?
