Galaxy WatchI really wish the auto workout function would be taken out, or at least disabled. Now, I do a workout, and it doesn't register the workout. And, in Health, you cannot "Add" a workout. To the developers, please, please, please stop trying to think for the user. We're perfectly capable of starting a workout and stopping one manually. Now, I have to figure out why this watch is no longer detecting auto workouts, and of course, you can't simply START a workout like you could before the last upgrade.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Galaxy WatchI wanted to get a few days in after discussing this online. I promise I am not trying to be confrontational, but do want to share my experience, good or bad.
For me to be able to choose a workout manually, I constantly have to go into the app and edit the home screen and add the Exercise tile back to the existing tiles that somehow seem to stay in place, with the exception of the former. Maybe this is by design, maybe it is an error. Either way, it is really inconvenient because the watch does not always accurately auto detect exercises.
I can only hope that this is fixed in a future release of the code.

Galaxy WatchYou should put in an error report. The tile should stay put and the workouts should definitely be auto detected, although it does take about 10 minutes of continuous activity before it's detected. Have you run a diagnostic on the watch to make sure the sensors are all working or cleared the cache partition? As I said before, in your case, it is probably easier to start the workout from your phone. You don't need to keep your phone with you during the workout if you start it from the phone

Galaxy WatchI just tested all the functions of the watch and they test out normally. I am happy to submit an error report but have no idea where and how to do so. If it is convenient for you, please post a link to where I can do this. Thank you.

Galaxy WatchYou should try clearing the watch cache partition first, if you haven't already done so.
You can submit an error report through the device care settings on your phone or through the support tab of the members app. Tap on "send feedback", tap the arrow, choose your issue from the list (choose accessory, since the issue pertains to the watch), answer the frequency question, write out your issue, make sure the "send system log" is checked (It is usually checked by default) and then submit your report. It is very important that you do not close the members app until a copy of the log appears on your phone and the notification says log uploaded (or some such wording). It can take a very long time, and you may think it's finished, but it may not be, and your log may be truncated. You can use your phone, and the members app will run in the background, but do not actually close the app. The log for the watch is embedded into the phone log.

Galaxy WatchThank you. Since the last major update, the screen to access manually entered workouts was changed from one screen to another. Had to dig a little further but I do see the options now to start and end a workout manually.
