I need a setting that measures all my energy output while "working-out" in the garden, pruning, digging, harvesting, carry heavy bags of soil, large potted plants, pushing a wheel barrel, etc.
I'm a 70 years young, still very active. My son bought me these shiny new Smart devices, (I think just to keep better track of me, however, since I have them, it would be great if this fancy new watch & phones programs measured what I actually do total healthy at 70. Seriously, why would anyone want or need to shut oneself up in a smelly old gym to "work out" on meaningless redundant machinery, when with the same amount of effort one could have a beautiful tree lined, flower filled garden full of healthy food to eat.

That part I've figured out. What I need is for some young whipper snapper programer to use the exercise science analysis data available to measure these activities & place it on your list of programs to measure the energy expenditures during said activities. Come on you genius folks, give an old ergonomics therapist a leg up on your programing technologies.

Open the health app, go to the exercise panel, tap on the far right circle that says more,  tap the "+" between the "my exercises" title and the menu dots and select create new exercise.  Add "gardening", then select "duration and calories", then click save. Then tap the new exercise to add it to your favorites for easy access.
