Above are two images of the data from one of my recent sleep data sessions. The first image showing 10:39 pm to 4:22 am is roughly close to my settings: 10:30 pm asleep to 4:30 am awake. The other image shows the results when I "add sleep record." As you can see, the numbers in that case are 4:50 pm to 3:10 am. The latter reading doesn't appear to have any relation to my actual sleep time. I'm new to using this watch and would be interested in any help figuring out the difference between the two sets of numbers.

Thanks,
Bill

The image with the clock is your "sleep target" which you set.  By default, it's usually set between the hours that the majority of people sleep, roughly 10 pm. to 7 am.  If it's in a different range than that, you would have changed it at some point.  The sleep tracking graph shows the time you actually went to bed and the time when the watch sensed your vitals indicated sleep mode.  I see that you had three separate sleep sessions recorded on that night.  One for about a half hour between 10 and 10:32 p.m., which could indicate you were just sitting relaxing in a recliner and your vitals went low enough that the watch thought you were in a sleep state - like nodding off while watching TV.  The time period 10:32 pm. - 4:35 am indicates you were asleep during that time and either woke up for a while and then went back to sleep at 5:40 am until 6:09 am.   During the period 4:35 am. and 5:40 am, if you were not awake, your watch could have become loose and stopped sensing your vitals, or either your phone or watch had a reboot (sometimes happens for updates).  If the earliest half hour sleep session is in error, you can delete it, by tapping the dot menu and selecting "delete" and choose the session you want to delete.

Also, you would only "add sleep record" if, for some reason, your sleep was not recorded.  The clock image shows up so you can select the hours you actually slept.  If you manually add a sleep record, you do not get the graph, since your cycles were not being tracked.

Thanks for the information. It will be very helpful. More to learn, of course.
