There doesn't seem to be any way to get the Activity (steps, active time, calories) tile to expand to "full screen" on my Galaxy Watch 4 after the update. That was unwelcome. Should default to fill the watch face if no other tiles are dragged in. The new way is harder to see.

So, this "update" is useless?

That's certainly a matter of perspective. The primary purpose of this update was to adhere to the new Google Material 3 Expressive design guidelines. Performance and battery life optimizations were also rolled into the update for Galaxy Watches.

You can learn more about M3E for Wear OS Guidelines and the rationale behind the changes here: https://android-developers.googleblog.com/2025/08/introducing-material-3-expressive-for-wear-os.html

You can still make the tiles full-size within those guidelines.  If you can't give users that option, the upgrade is useless.

You can make a feature request by visiting the Support tab in this app and navigating to "Send Feedback."

We are all peer users in this forum and sending feedback is the only way to get in touch with someone who actually works for Samsung.

I don't see a Support Tab... I'm using Chrome...

You will need to use the Samsung Members app on a galaxy phone or tablet to submit feedback. The feedback mechanism is not available in a browser or on non-galaxy devices.

Thanks. That workaround is not as pretty as the old activity tile, but tapping makes it "full screen" and easier for my old eyes to read! ๐Ÿ˜Š

While Samsung has some leeway with their Ui skin, there are some things Google won't allow for. This is their design language with Material Expresive. It is almost the same on my Pixel watch. Samsung's version is better in that I really like the scrollable pages.

Samsung seems to forget that their user base tends to skew older.  Old people like us tend to have presbyopia, and therefore need the text on the tiles to be as large as possible.  They also did not consider any visual impairment difficulties with their design.  At the very least they should be able to add an accessibility option to put the tiles the way they were.  I know it can be done, as when you tap on one of these tile widgets, it brings up the old format.  So, they could have just kept the old format or, as aforementioned, just make it an accessibility option.  I personally don't have an issue with the new design, but I do need my reading glasses to see the at-a-glance info on the small widgets.
