Galaxy WatchHello guys, I tend to use my watch and leave my phone home when I go for a run. You know any way to pre load maps to the watch for a more accurate reading? I went for a run today and the GPS went bananas, shows that I was near my house when in reality I was miles away. Is there a way or any tips you guys can share? I appreciate it. I'm using Samsung health and then (sometimes) it transfers to Strava.

Galaxy WatchThank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand your concern with your GPS location being inaccurate while on a run. Your Samsung smart watch has a GPS sensor that can monitor your real-time location without connecting to a phone. When the watch is connected with a phone, it will obtain its GPS location from the phone to help improve the location accuracy. Give these links a try for steps to make sure your GPS is accurately tracking your location: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00089462/ and https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01203472/
If you have tried the troubleshooting steps provided and are still experiencing these symptoms, the next step I would recommend is a service repair. For in-warranty repairs: Please feel free to reach out to us directly via one of the following options and include a link to this thread.
