HW-Q65C Sound Bar Speaker Level Setting Problem.

Just bought a HW-Q65C sound bar and it sounds fine but the center speaker and rear speaker levels will not accept a new setting.

We noticed that the center speaker and singing/speech was low and I found that it was set to -6 (-6 to +6 available range).

Attempting to change the setting with the remote would have the setting show up and could be changed but it will not "take".  The manual indicates no way to "enter" the setting.

Chatted with customer support and they had me re-initialize the sound bar and I thought I was able to change the setting for center to 0 (zero) but now I only think that it got set to default Zero along with the rear speaker level as I still have the same problem of being able to adjust the setting but it will not take.

The sound DID come up on center so the system is usable but I'd like to bump it perhaps to +2 but due to the above, we are stuck at zero.

Chat helper wanted to send me a return label so it could be "repaired" but I'm pretty sure this is a firmware problem.

I did check and chat person verified that we are on the latest firmware.

Anyone got any guidance and or, I hope you Samsungians are reading....

Try changing settings in the smart things app, and also check firmware in the app as well.
For that sound bar, use the following settings .

Sound mode: standard

Spacefit: off (just to check settings stay, then you can turn that back on)

This particular unit does not have wifi access and the firmware is current.

It's currently set at standard and there is no "spacefit" setting.

Thanks for the input though

My apologies for misreading the model number. With no spacefit sound and set to standard it should keep your levels without changing them, and with ensuring the latest firmware my only guess would be a factory reset but if you tried that you might have to have it repaired.

No problem.

It "feels" like a firmware problem though as it came set at -6 and the reset put it to zero and the volume did come up.

I'd be happy in this setting if I could just bump it by one or two at this point, thus it's usable but not perfect.

I'll be moving in a few months and this may not even be the primary system in the new location and it remains to be seen what new setting it may be used.
