Q70R TV is not remembering to use optical connection

My new Samsung Q70r 82" keeps forgetting to use the EXTERNAL Samsung soundbar... I have set it to OPTICAL, but each time I turn the TV on it sends audio to the TV speakers... I have attempted to change the setting to blue tooth and still do the same thing.?? Help

Hi the Soundbar is a Samsung HW M360 and the TV is a Qled 70r 82" software version 1356 (newest)

When was the soundbar purchased? Have you run the update for the soundbar software?

I bought the soundbar a year ago... I did not know it could be updated? How do I do that? thanks

Same problem.. set to optical but jumps back to Tv speakers upon exit. Didn't see the solution here.. I have a viso sound bar.
