Hello,

My soundbar has been great for the past years until recently. It has decided to stop working and hard lock on one given mode. My soundbar just sits on home TV eARC scrolling on the screen continuously with no ability to change off or factory reset.

I have attemped to unplug it and replug. I have tried to factory reset with the volume up and down buttons on the unit as well as the settings button on the remote. It will turn on, show on on the screen but still continue to scroll TV eARC. Will show Bye when turned off as well. It ackowdledges both the remote volume button and top volume button showing 0 when pressed but that is it. It is not connected to the wifi anymore and therefore is not available on SmartThings.

Am I just S.o.L or is there another way to factory reset it? Unfortunately I'am just off warranty and do not want to send it in if there is another way.

Thanks

Have you tried adding it back to SmartThings with your mobile device? It is okay if it's not connected to Wi-Fi because if you can get it to detect using SmartThings setup, maybe you can connect it again and then try controlling it using SmartThings. Otherwise, if a hard reset was unsuccessful, and you have attempted a manual reset, you might be out of luck without repair.

Hmm, it does not seem to want to connect without wifi.

The soundbar connects to Wi-Fi using your mobile device during setup. Since you reset your bar, it should be in a new, like-state. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the Wi-Fi you will use, and that location services and Bluetooth are enabled. Open SmartThings, click the plus sign to add a device, then click "soundbar," and proceed.
