Soundbar audio cutting out

I recently purchased a new Samsung q-800D soundbar and use it with my LG-G4 TV. While I haven’t noticed any problems while playing my PS5, when I am streaming TV shows and movies the audio will randomly cut out for a second. Some days the problem doesn’t occur at all, other days it will occur several times every hour. I’ve also tried resetting the soundbar.

I am pretty sure it has the latest firmware since updates are set to auto on my  SmartThings app. Buying a new ultra high speed HDMI 2.1 cable from Amazon hasn’t helped either. I hope Samsung is aware of this problem and is working to fix it with a new firmware update. If there is anything else I should try, please let me know as this is frustrating. Thanks.

Following this post, as my new Q800d soundbar intermittently has stuttering sound during tv/movies using earc.  Super quick stuttering of the audio.

Hey Andyb1205 welcome to the community.

I can definitely understand your concern here. Are you using HDMI-ARC? If so, let's try to alleviate some of the stress by trying this link: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01212326/.

This may be a better link for you if you're not using the ARC: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01109876/

This could be a compatibility issue because of the type of television you're using.

If this does not help I recommend letting a service technician have a look. As we would like to gather additional information, and look at this from a case by case basis, please provide the full model code and serial number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.
