HAF-QIN Refrigerator Filter Failures

3 months ago, we had the HAF-QIN filter stop working. We were buying them from the Samsung store on amazon. (Turns out its not affiliated with Samsung) Replaced 2 filters through amazon, and now 2 more with Samsung. All defective and don't work. Without a filter installed, the water dispenser works as intended. Put a filter in and is either no flow or severely restricted flow. I don't know what they changed on these, but they need to go back to the way they were.

I think it's highly unlikely that so many water filters failed on you.  What, specifically, is the problem?  Are you sure you are inserting/seating them properly?  I have been using replacement filters for Samsung filters for years, all purchased from Amazon.  I tend to favor the Waterdrop brand.  I have never had a single problem with either the replacement brands or Samsung's OEM filters.  If your filters stop working (I'm guessing they are clogging and not letting water flow through?)  It may very well be that you have very dirty water that is clogging the filters or the intake hose.

It's instant. Water runs fine without a filter...... If we had enough debris in our water to stop up a filter, we would be able to see it.......

Then you must be seating the filter incorrectly. Multople filters from different manufacturing batches do not all fail in the same way. And, if iit was possible, then you should be contacting Samsung directly, armed with lot numbers., not a user forum where no one can help you or compensate you. The fact that it's instant failure tells me you are doing something incorrectly.

You can't seat them improperly. If you were able to they would leak immediately. I have already contacted Samsung and they don't belive it's a seating issue or a problem with the refrigerator.

You most certainly can. I have done so once It didn't result in blockage, it resulted in a flood. In any case if you truly believe that Samsung's quality control is that bad, a)try the waterdro replacements and b) contact Samsung directly with the lot numbers, batch numbers, etc. and tell them. This is a peer to peer forum, and no one here can help you with this issue.

Everything is clear, no debris to cause a clog. No leaking so I know it's in place. I have already notified Samsung, twice, this is a 3rd, and when I call tomorrow it will be a forth, and when I leave a comment on the product page it will be the 5th. No I'm not trying your suggestion (a) because Samsung won't fix any issues resulting in using s product thats not theirs. That's terrible advice, especially if it's a brand new fridge

They cannot void a warranty for using a different brand water filter. Suit yourself, though. It's not a terrible idea if you get a water filter that works.
