Since Samsung shut down my post with a cut a paste "solution" I'm opening a new one.

Long story short, after two years of having this range a C-F2 error popped up over the weekend and we cannot use the oven. The error relates to the main computer board not talking with the touch panel.

A little background about me. I work in IT as a data analyst in the manufacturing industry. I'm quite able to build/fix electrical components, put together a computer, and analyze manufacturing data.

I took the back apart to look at the main board and make sure there wasn't a issue with the cable that connects the display to the main board. What I found is the chip that controls communication between the mainboard and the touch panel burnt out. It is physically blackened. Here's a picture:samsung_oven_controlboard.jpg

This is a manufacturing defect. The chip should not burn out.

But now that I am outside of my warranty, my only option is to pay for Samsung's poor manufacturing quality out of pocket. I'm going to order the part myself and replace it because the last time I had to have Samsung out to fix a knob because the cheap plastic collar broke, the tech had to drive from two states away over 3 hours one direction to get to where I live. He was a bit upset he wasted his entire day for something Samsung could have just shipped to me.
