Kitchen and Family HubHi Everyone,
First time poster here...Any help would be greatly appreciated for my fridge problem:
I have a Samsung RFG297ACRS and the fridge stays at a constant 2oC; the ice maker stopped making ice and the freezer does not work. I get an 88 88 error code and have Googled a number of sites and have gone through a number of steps:
- there is no freezing or water build up
- I vacuumed all the dust in the back
- I have unplugged and plugged the fridge back in
- I have tried to do a reset
- Taking apart the freezer back panel, there is no water or ice buildup. The fan works.
Some other data points:
- Two days ago, the freezer display was flashing to a + temperature (oC) but then went to -1oC. I noticed it happened again today and after pressing a button or two, it stopped blinking...but it is still 15oC and far from freezing.
Prior to buying a new motherboard, I'm wondering if it may be a regulator? Has anyone run across a similar problem, and if so, what was the fix?
Thanks in advance for your help!
