Kitchen and Family HubMy Samsung RF28HFEDBSR/AA has started leaking from the top of the fridge. The leak is at the Front, LH corner of fridge (above ice maker). It appears water is coming up through a hole for the harness; then leaks down the outside of the fridge. Has anyone seen a problem like this, or know what might be causing it?
I've had so many problems with this fridge. The ice maker stopped working several years ago; I just replaced it one year ago.

It could be a few different reasons but most common is a clogged Defrost Drain
water from the defrost cycle should drain properly. A blockage
food particles, ice prevents this, causing water to back up and find alternative escape routes, including the harness hole.
Here is a Solution
locate the drain usually at the back of the refrigerator or near the bottom.
Clean the drain use a mixture of hot water and baking soda to flush it out. You might need a thin wire or a specialized drain cleaner tool.
Or it could be a Water Inlet Valve Leak the valve that controls water flow to the ice maker and water dispenser can malfunction, causing leaks here is a solution Check the valve Look for signs of damage, cracks, or excessive wear. Replace the valve If necessary it could also be a water Filter Housing Issue a loose or damaged water filter housing can allow water to escape. Here is a solution
Check the housing ensure it's properly secured and free of cracks or damage.
