I've connected this cooktop to smart things and I can only monitor temperature or on/off status of the burners? Cannot turn on/off or change burner levels from app?

Kitchen and Family HubHi there! I can understand your concern with not being able to control the cooktop through the SmartThings app. I'm providing a link below to information on the features available for a cooktop through the SmartThings app.

Kitchen and Family HubCertain Samsung cooktops have a built-in Wi-Fi module that lets you sync the cooktop with the SmartThings app, where you can remotely monitor and control some of its functions.
- IMO "control some of its functions" is deceiving. It could have been "control kitchen timer" because it controls nothing other than kitchen timer
