Purchased the following TV in 2018:

Samsung - 55" Class -LED - Curved - MU6500 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with HDR

I just purchased an external antenna to get local programming; however, the TV gets no channels when the network cable is disconnected. I do not have cable and only stream through the internet. I would like to receive channels that are only picked up by the antenna.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

CONNECTING AND POSITIONING THE ANTENNA

1 - Properly connect the antenna to your TV. The USB is for power, and the coax cable is for the input signal.

2 - Place the antenna in a good location.

NOTE: It may take a few tries to determine the best location as the signal strength can be weak in some places and stronger in others. I found that hanging the antenna inside the living room on an exterior wall about 12 inches from the ceiling provided the strongest signal.

SCANNING FOR CHANNELS

1 - Press the HOME button on the remote. It has a picture of a house on it.

2 - Use the navigation ring on the remote to move to the LIVE TV icon. It will become enlarged.

NOTE: If the LIVE TV icon is not already on the menu bar, you can search for it in the apps that are on your TV and add it to the bar/home.

3 - With the navigation ring on the remote, move up to the GUIDE icon.

4 - Press the SELECT button located in the middle of the navigation ring on the remote. The channel guide will appear on the screen.

5 - Press the COLORED DOTS button on the remote. It does not matter which channel is highlighted in the channel guide.

6 - Use the navigation ring on the remote to highlight the ANTENNA icon and press the select button located in the center of the navigation ring.

7 - Select AIR on the Antenna Type box that will appear on the screen and close the Antenna Type box.

8 - Press the HOME button on the remote and highlight the SETTINGS icon.

9 - Press the select button on the remote located in the middle of the navigation ring. The SETTINGS menu will appear.

10 - Use the navigation ring to highlight BROADCASTING and then select AUTO PROGRAM.

11 - When given the option to select cable, air, or both, select BOTH.

12 - Once the scan is completed, close the pop-up box.

NOTE: At this point, you should see the channels that are being received through the antenna in the guide. Each channel will have a blue dot beside it containing a number.

ACCESS THE LIVE TV MENU

1 - Press the HOME button on the remote.

2 - Highlight the LIVE TV icon.

3 - Highlight and select the CHANNEL LIST icon.

Best of luck to you.

On your TV there should be a antenna connection port. Connect the antenna to that port. After doing that access the TV menu, do a channel scan then access TV input and watch tv.
