Hello! I just saw someone post about this, so I wanted to throw in my experience as well. 

After the menu stopped responding, I attempted a factory reset. The TV is now stuck on step 3 of this process, displaying nothing in the setup window. I cannot go forward or backwards, or open any menu, or connect my SmartThings app to control it externally.

I've tried holding down the power button, unplugging it for up to 30 minutes, and plugging it directly into the wall, but nothing has helped. 

Obviously, any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm currently number 496 in line for a support request.

Did anyone find a solution to this? I am having the same problem. It's on an older un40nu7100f model and I did the same factory reset last week. I have tried all the solutions I can find, short of contacting support.. I have tried the unplug and leave it, the power on and power button press dance, and many others.. No resolution with any of them... Really was hoping to not have to buy a TV any time soon.

Unfortunately no. I contacted support, and they wanted me to get a tech out to look at it... Or buy a new TV. I was able to buy a new main board for my model and install it and it's working now, but that's not a very user-friendly solution.
