Have a TU700D for 18 months and it just suddenly started to smell like burning plastic the other night. We realized the smell was coming from the TV and it was extremely hot on the back side. Turned it off for the night. Turned it on the next day and after about an hour we could smell the burning scent again and verified it was extremely hot again. Concerned to continue using it. What would cause this to suddenly occur?
Hello! That's definitely not something that you would want to experience with your TV! I would recommend keeping the TV unplugged and discontinuing the use of the TV.
