I've had this tv since it released in 2017 and I have only ever had English set for the language for this tv.  As of today all voice commands given are not being recognized and when displayed on the tv, it's showing up in Russian.

I have checked all of the language settings and they are set to English. I'm unable to check for an update to this tv for some reason as that option is grayed out and it's showing as offline in the smart things app.

The only thing I really use the voice commands for is to turn on the sleep timer which I can do manually still, however, it's not convenient.

There are also multiple posts on Reddit for this same issue happening on other models but no solutions as to how to fix it.

Is there a fix for this issue?

Edit to add: the TV is connected to my network, I'm able to use streaming apps on it without issues and it does have my Samsung account connected.

Same issue.  Samsung needs to get to the bottom of this and provide a fix. Thousands of customers viewing this thread.  It’s definitely Russian.  If you put the command into Google translate and play it back into the remote in Russian, it understands the command!

Same issue here and I have spoken to Samsung Techs on WhatsApp. UE55MU6475. Started on Jan 24th.  Located in Helsingborg, Sweden and I do use my Network with SmartDNS but my other newer Samsung TVs have no issues at all. They do run Bixby as the voice assistant though as my older one does it in the Cloud or on Samsung's Servers.

Spent hours on this. Several soft and hard resets.  Finally had to do a factory reset. Time consuming, but it fixed the issue.  Pretty sure it is a widespread hack. Too bad, Samsung Chat Support can't see this as a known issue. I ordered a new remote, too... but it was not the remote.

Some are saying the factory reset is only a temporary fix and the issue comes back. Let's us know how it works for you.

I too am having this issue. I use voice search on my remote when on the YouTube app. Everything was working fine until recently. Now when I use a voice command such as "Search YouTube for Kenny Chesney" the message displays in Russian and does not work. I dont understand how all of a sudden I can no longer do voice searches in this app. Theres got to be a fix but Samsung doesn't seem to have the answer yet.
