I have recently started to "upgrade" my knowledge and usage of smart things.

Namely the control of lights and easy stuff.

I cam across "connect home " and I'm confused: You do need a carrier like xfinity and the modem to actively have wifi, correct?

Connect home doesn't create a wifi? Internet access?

Hello @Members_0I47wmM! Thank you for reaching out! It's always good to learn about technology! As for the connect home it will not provide its on internet. You will still need a internet service provider such as charter etc. It can be like a router and provide Wi-Fi and connect smart devices together. To learn more about it please use the link below.
