Monitors and MemoryDownloaded driver from here: https://s3.ap-northeast-2.amazonaws.com/global.semi.static/SamsungNVMExpressDriver3.3/7322A6707A720E...
Instructions say: Double click the “Samsung_NVM_Express_Driver_3.3.exe” file with the administrator rights.
Doing so does nothing - won't open - won't run.
Please advise.
Also, my new 970 EVO Plus seems to be working just fine with the Microsoft driver - why do I need/want the Samsung driver? Are there features/benefits I'm missing out on?
TIA

Monitors and MemoryStick to the default Windows driver unless benchmarking SSDs is all you do.
Samsung driver will net you slightly better benchmarking results at the cost of the overall stability of your PC in the form of high DPC latency spikes.

Monitors and MemoryThanks amigo - will do!
Samsung Magician 7.0.1 Installation Guide states that for NVMe devices both Microsoft and Samsung drivers are supported with no further explanation given.
So I'd say you reply is correct - the Microsoft driver is A-OK.
