This is a clone of my previous System drive. I don't want to wipe it. Can I make it hook up to Magician properly somehow?

Thanks!

Cloning is not an issue for Magician to recognize the drive.

Try removing the non Samsung drives to see if they are interfering with it.

Is the 990 in an M.2 socket direct to the CPU or does it go to the motherboard chipset?

Hello giorov,

Are you able to let us know your purpose for cloning?

Typically, the purpose of cloning is to replace your old Windows drive and make the new SSD your new primary Windows drive. If this is your goal, then it is recommended to remove your old Windows drive as you will not need it anymore since all of your data was cloned onto your new 990 PRO.

Your computer should now be able to turn on and load Windows from your new 990 PRO alone, if the clone was completed.

The old OS drive I cloned from is not installed. This 990 Pro in one of the two direct CPU slots.
Ok, I can try removing other drives soon to troubleshoot.
