Hi everyone, I just bought a Samsung Smart Monitor M8 (model LS32BM801UCXXK) and I’m having issues with the SlimFit camera.

The camera works with the SmartThings app (I can see the feed when the monitor is off), but it doesn’t show up in “Connected Devices → Sources” or in apps like Google Meet. My current firmware is version 1030, and when I check for updates, it says no updates available.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? Did a firmware update fix it for you?

Thanks!

Do you have a type C USB connection from the computer to your monitor?

I haven’t connected any PC to the monitor. I opened Meet directly from the monitor’s browser.

The original problem is that the monitor doesn’t detect the camera under the “Connected devices” section.

I thought there might be an issue with the magnets, but since the camera works remotely, I want to believe the problem is with the monitor’s software, although I’m not completely sure.

I'm also facing the same issue. The camera is detected when directly plugged into other devices.

But the monitor is not recognizing it. I tried using the adaptor and normal USB (the normal USB connection works in other devices)

I spoke with Samsung technical support. They even assisted me through a video call, but it couldn’t be fixed. They told me I had to take the monitor to a Samsung service center so they could check it.
