So I recently got a Galaxy A14 and I heard that it has NFC but when I swipe down from the notifications bar it doesn't show the icon for NFC. Does anyone know why that is?

This appears to be a South American variant. All US models end in U or U1. Yours ends in M. This could be the reason why your phone doesn't have NFC available. Where are you located?

What is your model name/number in Settings>About phone? It starts with "SM-."

That probably explains why my SIM card wouldn't work in the phone. Also, to answer your question, I'm located in the United States

It depends on what region you are in.

According to the specs NFC is market/region dependent

Then you should have nfc. Have you gone to settings connections to see if nfc is listed
