BUG: TV volume display too large

Compared to other TVs I have owned, the Samsung TV’s volume indicator overlay is incorrectly sized and incorrectly positioned. It cannot be intended behavior to cover a third of the screen with the name of my audio output device.

When watching TV, it is very common to reach for the remote to boost quiet dialogue, or quiet a loud  action scene to avoid disturbing others, but doing so causes a major distraction as the Volume overlay covers a significant portion of the display’s central region  

I have found several duplicates of this issue in the forums leading back several years, so I can confirm that the problem is in the default UI, not an issue on my particular device.  

This is a major usability bug that is affecting my ability to recommend Samsung devices to friends and colleagues.  It makes the device feel “cheap” - a more premium device seems like it would have more elegant and subtle UI elements. 

The solution would be an alternate “Advanced” Volume display mode, where as small of an indicator as possible is overlayed in an out-of-the-way corner of the screen, where the person holding the remote knows where to look to confirm the volume level without distracting the rest of the viewers. This would help the UI feel more premium.

We all know that this is not a challenging technological problem to solve but rather Samsung trying to push us to their soundbars where this problem doesn't exist, it seems. Samsung, we get it, you don't want to allow us to turn it off or your programmers can't figure out how to do it...but can you please please please make it at least smaller? You know, that vector image that you have that is shown on the screen, just scale it down. The same way you draw it now, just draw it smaller, that's all there is to it 🙂

I came here thinking I would find a solution, and I see that this is a problem affecting many users. So why don't the Samsung engineers do something about it? Is it so hard to make it smaller and place it in a corner instead of it taking up the whole screen? For the price we pay for these TVs, the user experience is quite dreadful.

This is a ridiculous display artifact that seems would be so easy to provide an option to hide. I spend a lot of money in the Samsung ecosystem and if this is how they treat their users buying high-end equipment, i will be forced to buy elsewhere and recommend aginst using(samsung ignoring coments for years is unacceptable. I have searched back several years and find this recurring issue. No one wants to be forced to see this in their home theater. Absolutely takes away from the experience of enjoying a show!)

I also bought a new Samsung QLED TV 12-09-24, and as many other have the same sizing issues with the on screen volume display. And as others I have mine hooked up to my eARC system. BUT today I seem to have noticed the volume notice is still there but is it smaller? It seems to be a little smaller font and the overall size seems a bit smaller but the update # is still 1301 so idk...  Anyone else notice this, and yes I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong..

Just paid $3300 for the 83 inch S90D and this volume icon is absurd. Fix it. Make it smaller and put a number on it. Or go back to the older samsung icon that was a circle in the top corner.
