How do you turn off the auto-detect HDMI feature? Sometimes my Apple TV comes on and then the TV automatically turns on as well but I don't want the TV to do so. How do you turn off this feature?

Thanks,

Mark

Good idea, here's the URL to my review. If it doesn't work, let me know!

Just purchased a KS9000, great reviews for picture but I agree with all here.  The OneConnect is a piece of crap.

TV is high jacking my Denon AVR 3312CI.

This TV and OneConnect is not made for a people who set up a system through an AVR and mutliple inputs.

Also, if all the input cables are HDMI, why does Samsung need a BIG AS.S OneConnect Cable when they could have stayed with HDMI?

The big as.s oneconnect cable cant fit through the pre drilled holes in my wall (fire blockers behind drywall) so had to run mutiple HDMI cables.  Not good.

Why not build OneConnect into the TV?

If different OneConnect for different TV, make it a click in like a Battery or DVD player in your laptop!!

Then just HDMI cables to the TV - MAKE IT SIMPLE SAMSUNG

OK so I'm right proper vexed now.

After a week or so of living behind an HDMI switch, being well-behaved, the old behaviour has come back again, trampling all over the switch and auto-switching the TV once more.

Why?

Nothing has changed since I fitted the switch, completely unpredictable.  Come on Samsung, you MUST be able to sort this out.  Do you really have such disdain for your (previously) loyal customers?

It may be that the switch is defective. I deliberately bought a cheap one to try it out, but the signal should not get through a manual switch without human intervention but it is.

Frustrating

With the earlier mentioned switch from my previous post (don't want to advertice for one company), I have now for many months no problem at all. So; yes a switch is still a good solution against lazy Samsung programmers. That the problem returns for one user doesn't change that.

I have a KU6300 and I have just started seeing this problem. I have my cable tv connected to hdmi 2 and my computer connected to another hdmi 1. When the computer is on, the tv inputs work fine and I am able to watch tv without interruption. The moment I power down the computer, the tv immediately starts bouncing back and forth with the pc input and cable input. I am not able to switch inputs. The only fix is to remove the hdmi for the computer.  Really frustrating. This auto-detect feature is evil.

I can't believe how this "feature" got approved through testing!!! This is a nightmare...

I recently bought a Nintendo Switch and my wife is going to end up killing me because every 5 to 10 minutes the TV decides to switch sources for no reason at all to the Nintendo Switch with a black screen when we are watching our shows, so its not like its transmitting some sort of signal to the TV which is strange.

This "feature" its not a "feature" its clearly a bug... This was not tested for the real world I mean most people with more than one thing connected to the TV will be constantly switching channels.

The worst part is if its not the switch that's doing this its the Apple TV when I accidentally sit on the controller or touch it.

Will definitely not be buying another Samsung Tv in the feature ( I always use Samsung products even Galaxy s7 edge smartphone) but you guys are dropping the ball to much lately.

THIS BUG IS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE

"Daddy, why does the TV turn over whenever you turn your computer on?"

Well Samsung, would you like to explain to my 6 year old daugher why this "feature" has been added to your TV's and why it's still here despite it being completely and utterly useless in the real world?

Why can't you just admit, it doesn't work. It's a nice idea but in the real world, when people have more than 1 HDMI plugged in, it just doesn't work.

"Daddy, why does the TV turn over whenever you turn your computer on?"

I tell mine:

"Because Samsung doesn't respect their customers, sweetheart"

Know what I hate even worse?  When my wife says:

"Honey, what's wrong with this crazy TV? I told you to buy the LG!"

I say "just press the dam n Mic button, speak into the remote and say "HDMI1".

She says "That's cute, but it's too annoying. Can you make it stop doing that?"

"No, sorry dear".
