QLED and The Frame TVs

Recently had our 82 inch Samsung QN82Q6DRAFXZA die (watching TV one day and the unit just faded to black in the center). It then perpetually tried to turn on - backlight active but nothing on screen- but would always reset after a clicking noise to try again.

Since none of the standard "try this" steps worked (power cycling, etc) and since warranty has long expired after several years, we looked at trying to repair. Thought it was either one of the two main boards upon opening the unit - power and video - and had them both replaced. That did nothing to solve the issue (it continued to turn on - backlight, but nothing on screen - click, then restart) so, sadly, we've replaced the unit.

However, curiosity is getting the better of me. We still have this unit (getting rid of it as part of a junk haul by end of year), so figured I would ask if anyone else with this issue or a similar one was actually able to have it fixed? I loved the TV so replacing it was tough
