QLED and The Frame TVsSadly, I can confirm this update 1372.2 did not work on hdmi port4, in Canada (best buy 2019 qled q80r). Why can't they allow that since it's the exact same tv?
Congrats for you anyways.

QLED and The Frame TVsIt's not a full 4k 120hz support using hdmi 2.1 but a stripped version 4:2:0 using hdmi 2.0 bandwidth.
It looks like there are 2 versions of Q80R, one with oneconnect box and another one without the box. If you have the version without, it will not work yet. you will have to wait for next firmware (most likely) like q70r owners. I'm not sure why Samsung pushed it only via OneConnect, for me that box is just a cable manager.

QLED and The Frame TVsThx for that. I was about to buy a One Connect box for my q80r (Canadian version that comes without box), then i realized that connecting it to my tv would change nothing since the tv port receiving it still wouldn't have the 120hz support.
I hope the next firmware update after 1372.2 will finally do the trick. I just want 120Hz on 4k only when needed, even if dumbed down using 4:2:0 colours stripped down (for pc gaming with fast moving first person shooters and racing games).

I think Sony need to enable FreeSync support on PS5.

Some good news in here: called both PS and Samsung for this problem and both acknowledged that it's a software issue from Samsung and will be fixed shortly through and update. So fingers crossed guys!!!
