AFTER the unwanted Nearby Device APP was secretly loaded as an update, I'd find my camera on with pictures taken & my android phn's camera won't function unless I agree it is a NEARBY DEVICE; its not, so i haven't been able to take pictures FOR MONTHS. The nearby APP tried to get itself attached to another visual app I frequently use and now, that APP runs less well. Another app "update" to IMPROVE the NEARBY DEVICE APP was put on my phn. I just WANT THEM BOTH OFF!. I THINK I was able to remove the APP Data & it's UPDATES but, while the icon is gone, my camera still tells me I "HAVE TO ALLOW""NEARBY DEVICES" "ACCESS PERMISSION" to take a picture with my phone. This APP Is a PAIN..
And Now.... though security says there's no issue with my phn, I've got plenty of data available, and great wifi/ carrier coverage I'm having problems with my messaging app and getting on the internet. You SAY WE CAN DECIDE ON OUR OWN PERMISSION PREFERENCES BUT, these APPS are DEMANDING we do what we'd NOT CHOOSE. I've tried tech support (all of it available/possible causers) and generally couldn't even get the issues understood. It all tracks back to SAMSUNG sneaking in unwanted/unnecessary APPS under the guise of UPDATES.
AFTER these experiences, I'm considering OTHER PHONE BRANDS and only non-tech SAMSUNG ITEMS.
EXAMPLE:: I CAME HERE TO LOOK FOR HELP. WHILE I CHOSE TO DO THE SURVEY "AFTER I FINISHED MY SEARCH FOR HELP," Samsung DECIDED I needed to do the survey "IMMEDIATELY." šŸ˜€ šŸ˜„ šŸ˜… šŸ˜Š šŸ˜  šŸ˜”

That is not a Sansung app. You appear to have picked up a rogue app somehow, or some had access to your device either physically or remotely and added it. If it is the legitimate nearby app scanning module *embedded in the UI* (not an app), you can tutn it off in settings/connections/more connection settings/nearby device scanning. It is not necessary to have it on to use quick share, but it is a component of quick share. If you don't use quick share, just turn it off. In any case, even if it is on, it does not behave as you are describing and I do not believe it is on by default. Stop blaming Samsung. Again, it is NOT an app, it's part of the UI and has been on your phone since you purchased it. It did not get installed during an update. If you are seeing it as an actual app, you have malware. If this was a widespread issue, you would not be the only one experiencing it, snd there has been not one word about it on here.
