Question, Why does it seem that google runs the world? Even in products that have their own ui and store ie Samsung Ui and the Galaxy store. It seems ridiculous to me that if you do not have an iPhone it has to be an Android which is also google! I specifically chose Samsung because of the fact they have an app store and their own operating system. Although I keep finding that a lot of apps are not available on the galaxy store and even the built in apps I end up switching for googles version because of the fluidity of everyday and google like cereal and milk. Why is that?... anyone?
I totally agree. I use my phone with basically no google components (it's hard to setup though) and personally use f-droid, which has a lot of free and open-source programs, a lot of which are very good. I am also not a power user or a gamer so I can litirmostly off f-droid.
Samsung's OS is Google's Android with Samsung's One UI enhancements. In order to use Android on their devices, Samsung must include a list of Google's required apps too.
Google is the creator and maintainer of the Android operating system. They made it free, and its the most popular OS. Your car, your TV, your firesticks, even your security systems all use Android. There's a few exceptions like Apple or Tizen, but none as ubiquitous as Android.
So you cannot get away from Google. Because Android is Google.
