Galaxy S24My S24 ultra is being hijacked by Google. This started about two weeks ago. I never had an issue like this before. I am in the process of
de-googling my phone. I can't stand Google, especially after they sold my information to the Dark Web.
No matter what non chromium browsers I install, Google takes over as my search engine. Thanks to Samsung for joining forces and pre installing both Google and Chrome which I can't uninstall, so until I delete my Google account I am constantly going to both apps, enabling and then open the settings to verify the search engines which are usually correct. Then it's back to disable and deep sleep them.
Returning to my installed browsers when entering info in the search bar...Google appears as my search engine. (www.google.com). I tried a few options to stop Google but so far no results.
Could this have to do with the latest update? That's when this started. I don't know how to uninstall updates or maybe I'm a victim again from this cyber scam.
Google and Samsung have not responded.
I give up. Wits end and all that.
Sorry this post is long.
Any of you beautiful people have the answer?

Your suggestion is akin to purchasing watermelons and complaining about watermelon seeds. You purchased a google product, they are going to have google related apps as the default. Familiarize yourself with how your phone works, and I can promise you the complaints you have written about well dissipate.

OMG! I stand corrected and sincerely apologize for my ranting. I believed a Samsung employee, which I accepted as a fact. After your reply, I read an article about Samsung and Googles' actual story, and their relationship with each other makes me want to put my foot in my mouth. Thanks to you, I feel better, and their story is kinda fascinating, and now I am craving :watermelon::watermelon:. Not the seeds.๐

Google did not sell your info to the dark web. If your information ended up there, it's either because of one of the myriad of corporate data breaches, or some carelessness on your part.
