Why would someone actually do this? Is Samsung now a licensed counseling service, too? Somehow, the notion of a tech company providing counseling services, potentially via AI, is at least disturbing and likely dangerous.

No kidding, but do those divisions also include a team of licensed counselors in the US?

Well by law they have to and if they don't they give a list of resources that you can use

But, it's the "confide your worries to Samsung Health" that is concerning. That sort of connotes things said in confidence. If they have licenses (which are issued by a State, not the country) they should post their professional credentials, and if they are referring people, people would not need to confide to Samsung Health.

It's probably some generic health questionnaire that if you hit a certain level they give you the resources because this is a technology company and most technology companies who have health stuff work with certified specialists and whatever field which means you probably write down your symptoms answer a few questions if it dings in their thing they say here's a list of resources of certified people to help you

If it is generic, they should not ask you to "confide." Confiding implies a confidential conversation that, in this case, is likely protected by law.
