Screen wakes when receiving notifications

Whenever I get a notification my screen turns on for a second before shutting off and it is more annoying than useful but I can't find a way to shut it off. I know that you can use brief notifications to only show the pop up while the screen remains off but I don't like using them while I'm actively using my phone. Please, let me know if there's a way to fix this or how can I request Samsung to add the availability to stop screen wake from notifications.

There is a setting that disables the notifications appearing on the lock screen.

But then I can't see my notifications from the lock screen is the issue with that.

If you choose to hide content you won't be able to know what that notification is about until you unlock the phone.

But that's not what I want. I want notifications on the lock screen I just don't like my screen turning on every time I get a notification

You will have to ask Samsung to put in that feature, since there isn't any way to make that happen.

Look at that you can ask the Samsung Moderator to review your suggestion. 😁

Settings > Notifications > Lock screen and choose show or hide content. Or you can turn it off.

I did this and it still wakes the screen but just doesn't show notifications until I'm off the lock screen
