Verizon no longer supports RCS in Samsung Messages

I got this message 

Verizon Msg: Samsung Messages will no longer support RCS after 1.6.2025. Switch to Google Messages to maintain the more robust messaging you're used to."  and was wondering what it means?

I don't understand any of this.i have phone and watch and they are constantly changing how they work and operate.even when I'm texting things pop up like adds.everything has adds.i don't even get the most proficiency outa my 1200 dollar phone or my 600 dollar watch that cost me 125 a month

Got this from VZ, is it true Samsung is nolonger updating to support current standards?

This has been stated for months now that to keep RCS you would need to switch to Google Messages.

Been known for.awhile Verizon extended the date there is a swith to Google messages

I believe so but they will phase out eventually
