After some mods, I got the ps1 script to work to configure the camera except for 1 stupid mistake I made. I factory reset the SNH-P6410BN camera using the script and it wiped out the password. I can get the script to run with a null password, however, I can't set the password and my synology surveillanceStation doesn't work with the null password. My firmware is 1.12_180413 so I think that is because a security patch. Is this correct? Is there something else I need to do?
if rtsp works via VLC then it should work with any NAS, protocol is similar, in my case I have FirmwareVersion : 1.12_180413 but the protocol doesn't work via VLC, unfortunately I don't know the calls for password change, the ones available are for version equal or lower than 1.08, the script will attempt the same calls but it will fail.
I own over 22 cameras of these "SNH-V6410PN smartcam" and feel so unfair and un ethical of Samsung camera service and app.
I have been having issue till last couple of months, all of sudden cant access and all camera has solid Blue LED light front of camera. While googling find this as surprize.
It makes senses they No longer support hardware or software, does not mean they can shut down access to all cameras, I wonder how many customers have this issue, and how many cameras are/were sold by Samsung and don't have access or cannot use now, this is very unethical practice from Samsung.
We all have to look into legal case against this unfair market legal action let's continue to chat this and find the way to get access, Thanks
I don't know why this comes as a surprise to you. For many months, every time you logged on to the cams, a message would appear informing you that Samsung was discontinuing support for the cams at a future date (I forget what it was.)
