Hey everyone!

I've seem similar problems to mine, but hoping there will be a solution soon.

My phone is the Galaxy S21+ 5G.

Upon opening Camera app I receive the message "Warning: Camera Failed". Other apps utilizing the camera also no longer are able to. Trying another Camera app does not work as well. Sometimes, opening the Camera app just shows an Icon of a camera and nothing else on a black screen.

The front-facing "selfie" camera works just fine, but can only be accessed by telling Google "Take a Selfie", otherwise the "Warning: Camera Failed" prevents you from getting there.

Here's what I've tried:

Rebooting Phone

Clearing Camera Cache

Clearing Camera Data

Reset Camera Settings

Clearing Gallery Cache

Clearing Cache Partition

Trying Alternative Camera App

Starting Phone in Safe Mode

Deleting Recently Installed Apps

I DID NOT factory reset, and I DO NOT want to unless absolutely necessary. Knowing my luck, I'll factory reset and it still will not work and then I'll be out of all my data.

I also DO NOT have a phone repair store in this little small town I live in.

The latest update on phone is G996USQU4BUKF

Hopefully someone will be able to provide assistance,

thanks!

Did all of this and camera still doesn't work. First issue I have had with any Samsung phone. Extremely irritating. What do I do now?

I sent an error report about it on Samsung Members app, and here was their response:

Problem Countermeasure : It was occured by Wide sensor I2c error.
It need check camera sensor module Hardware side and replacement.

Doesn't particularly help me that much.

I just unboxed my brand new S22 Ultra. Have this same issue! This is clearly unacceptable. I guess it's getting sent back to Samsung. I'm not having a brand new phone with issues like this.

OK same issue here (btw I am in UK). I am using s7+ 5G tablet, reported this issue last week and sent for repair. Then just got it today 3 hours earlier and this issue pops up again. Now they are asking me to send it back again...

Hi Everyone,

After running into all troubleshooting steps, i got this issue sorted out.

You need to install the latest update by Samsung, they for sure noticed this issue and working on providing a hot fix. The update version that worked with me is :

<span;>S908EXXU1AVC9 / S908EOXM1AVC9 / S908EXXU1AVC9
<span;>Security patch level : March 1,2022
