Copy files between Galaxy A20 and A9 Plus with c cable.

Hopefully someone can help. I want to transfer files from my A20 phone to my A9+ tablet using the  c cable provided with my A9+ tablet.  I went to a Samsung store and they advised to use Quick Share or Smart Switch. I know these both work but direct transfer  would be simpler.  It is actually quicker to copy files to a usb flash drive and then copy from the usb drive to my tablet rather than use Quick Share or Smart Switch.

Have you got something against smart switch? It's probably faster.

Thanks very much for your prompt reply.   I guess I'll just have to work out how exactly to use Smart Switch or stick to usb.
