Just got my Tab S9 and I have wifi 6E at home however my tablet will not stay connected to it. It will only show connected as Wifi 6. I have a Galaxy book that does as well as an S23 Ultra that also stays connected to the 6E band with no problems. I have restarted the tablet, I have deleted then reconnected to the Wifi, I have turned off the bluetooth and all with no luck. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

The only thing that I got back from Samsung was the usual. Forget the network, restart the tablet and such. Nothing that I did worked so I got so frustrated that I returned it and bought an iPad. I got a cheaper model with no 6E but at least it stays connected to the 6Ghz. I just didn't want to get another tablet and go through the same thing with them. I hate not having an Android tablet but maybe next  year the Wifi issue will get resolved. Many other people have run into the same problem so it is clearly a hardware issue.

I'm having the same issues with my S9 Ultra. My Device can't maintain connection over Wifi6 (802.11ax). Recently updated to UI6 but still nothing. Does this model have a defective WiFi adapter?

I could maintain connection over 802.11n/ac but it is nowhere as fast as the ax.

Will there be a firmware fix for this, or this issue will end up as another class action lawsuit?

Similar issue here. Samsung Tab S9 wifi disconnects repeatedly every few minutes, sometimes holds connection for longer. I have a Spectrum router with very little configuration options.

I gave up after my third S9 Tablet 11". That's three that I've returned. Total number of hours with Samsung tech support was over two hours. Each time, they told me to return the unit. Not sure that they have a solution yet.

I'm so relieved that I found this page. I thought my S9 was defective when it would connect to 6E and then disconnect entirely after only about a minute and sometimes it would not reconnect at all or to the 5ghz band. So I see I’m not alone. My S22+ connects and stays connected to 6E with no issues. So as others have said it has to be a hardware issue (wifi antenna or chip) Unfortunately I don’t want to return mine after reading that this doesn't accomplish anything but having the same problem. Hopefully a firmware update will fix this but does not look promising. This really blows and I’m not going to buy an iPad just to have 6E. I guess I’ll stick with this until the S10 comes out and then trade this up. I really can’t believe Samsung doesn’t have a solution to this yet after 6 months.

Same problem. I have tested with OpenWrt, TP-link Omada and Unifi. AX is never negotiated by Client i.e. S9+ tab after first failure.

This seems to be firmware issue.
