used the automatic setup to transfer my screens, apps, and widgets from my S2 to my s9fe tablet. A few months later I accidentally deleted the Google Calendar widget on my home screen. The only widget shown for me to add to that home screen is 4w by 2h, whereas my original widget was 2w by 4h, a much more usable view of my calendar for the same screen area, as it extends further into the future.

Does anyone have a way for me to somehow get back to the original four High two wide widget that I had previously installed and is still currently running on my S2 tablet?

Have you tried manipulating the widget to the dimensions you want?  I have found that if a widget was too wide or too high for the space I wanted to fit it, I could stretch and shrink it.

If you still have the S2, you can just transfer it back.  You might also be able to restore your cloud backup of the S2 to the S9 if you don't have the S2 available. You should back up any new data to a flash drive or computer so that you can transfer it back to your new device once restore is complete.

You can always turn on the edge panels and download/use the calendar edge panel instead of the widget. Edge panels are still available and will still function if you purchase a new phone and transfer them over or update to OneUi7. So you should get them while you still can.
