Hi. I just purchased a Galaxy Tab S10+. The Samsung keyboard is different from the one on my phone, the Galaxy S23±, and it's difficult going between the 2 devices with the keyboards being different. On the tablet, the latest version is installed, 5.9.00.63.

The phone's keyboard version is 5.9.00.54, and it is up-to-date.

Is there any way I can install 5.9.00.54 on the tablet? The difference is that the special characters are shown above the letters. In 5.9.00.63 on the tablet, special characters are only above the numbers and I have to press the "!#1" key to reach the other special characters.

Below is the 5.9.00.54 keyboard on the phone. (I didn't catch the microphone row in the screenshot.)

Below is the tablet's 5.9.00.63:

Can you help? Thanks!

On the tablet keyboard settings do you have "alternative characters" enabled in the layout section?

Yes! Thank you! It worked.

When I bought the tablet, I had trouble with a mini keyboard showing up instead of the regular keyboard. Btwn Samsung, Verizon & myself, we made all kinds of changes and evidently one was turning off the Alternate Keyboard. The mini keyboard issue ended up being due to one of the Settings for the S-Pen.

Thanks again!
