I've been using Samsung internet recently as it is the only mobile browser which i can zoom in and out with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. However, every time I press backspace when I'm not typing, it will go back a tab, which is very annoying as I use an online calculator a lot and it registers.
Does anyone have any solutions for this? or any alternate mobile browsers

Unfortunately physical keyboard uses is rare so UX support for it is often flaky. Like Gboard will language switch if shift & space are pressed, even if you change the shortcut. That bug hasn't been fixed for years.
As for you backspace & Samsung internet problem can't really prevent that. I'd use the dedicated calculator and if it's something complex like Desmos or Wolfram Alpha try and use their app & alt tab to switch back and forth between. But if it's multiple tabs for different calculations apps might be restrictive
