Tablet S9 FE+ only has option to search for S Pen Pro but I have regular S Pen!

I recently bought the S9 FE+ from Samsung directly, and bought this S Pen thru an online retailer that is supposed to have bluetooth and allow air actions, etc., model EJ-PX710BBEGUJ.

But... the tablet doesn't see it.  Bluetooth is turned on.  When I go into S Pen settings there is an option to scan for an S Pen Pro, but I don't have that.  What can I do to get this to work, or am I just SOL?

Sorry but the normal s-pen can’t be tracked only the S-pen pro has that feature if I understand your post correctly that you’ve lost your S-pen and searching for it

Hi, no, I have not lost my S Pen.  I purchased a new one which allegedly has bluetooth and does air actions.  But it seems to be exactly the same as the one I already have, which does not support the air actions.

The model number on the box I received is EJ-PX710BBEGUJ

Maybe I was given incorrect information that this one support "Air Actions".  Hmph.

Ok after futher checking the Samsung Tab S9FE doesn't support Air actions
No, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE does not support Air actions. Air actions are a feature for the S Pen that allow users to control their device with gestures. However, the S Pen for the Tab S9 FE, as well as the S Pen Fold Edition and S Pen Creator Edition, are not compatible with Air actions.
Which makes me think you would need to purchase the S-Pen Pro to have air actions since it says the fold edition and s pen creator editions are not supported

That's annoying, for sure.  As the seller is unlikely to refund an opened box, it looks like I've just acquired a spare I didn't want 😞

this came from a small vendor selling through a major online presence, doubt they'd take it back.  If nothing else I now have a spare with some spare nibs, which I didn't have before.  Sigh.  Maybe I could re-sell it and take a small loss.
