A Series & Other MobileHello there!
Thanks for reaching out for assistance.
I know this can be frustrating to have your apps unresponsive.
First, make sure your device and all apps are updated to the latest software.
To check to see if your apps need an update, follow these steps below:
Google Play Store:
1. Launch the Google Play Store app, and then tap the Profile icon at the top right.
2. Select Manage apps & device.
3. You can check the number of apps available to update.
4. Tap Update all to run the updates all at once.
5. If you want to update apps individually, tap See details and then tap the Update button next to the app you would like to update.
- When some apps are updated, they may require new permissions. You may get a notification prompting you to accept the new permissions.
- After updating your app, you may need to restart your phone.
- If you want to search for a specific app, tap Manage app & devices, then tap Manage. If an update for the app is available, an Update button will appear on the app’s Details page.
Galaxy Play Store:
Step 1. Launch the Galaxy Store app, and then tap the Menu icon (the three horizontal lines) at the bottom right.
Step 2. Tap Updates.
Step 3. You can either tap the circular arrow next to individual apps to update one at a time or tap Update all to install all available updates.
You can find these exact steps in this link here: https://www.samsung.com/africa_en/support/mobile-devices/how-to-update-apps-from-the-galaxy-store-an...
Note: This link is not a US article but the steps should be the same.
You also have the option to the clear cache on each app. Clearing the app cache is kind of like a cleanse for your apps. It will get rid of residual files that could be slowing down the app.
Follow these steps below:
Open Settings, and then swipe to and tap Apps. Select or search for the app you want to clear. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear cache.
Note: The only way to clear the cache on every app at the same time would be to perform a factory reset on your phone.
You find these exact steps in this link here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/
Last, you also have the option to uninstall/install each app to see if that helps resolve your symptoms.
If you need any further assistance, you are more than welcome to reach out to any of our moderators anytime.
