I've had my Samsung Galaxy A32 5G for about 1 year. For the first 5 months the phone was fine then it suddenly started struggling to do basic tasks. It takes 5 seconds to open some apps, the camera app is periodically not working, apps are crashing, screen turns on the turns back off for 10 seconds, overheating, lots for lag from doing regular tasks (like opening an app) and just overall has not been a good experience for me. I've rebooted my phone so many times And the 5G is always disconnecting and going slow. This has just really discouraged me and I'm just asking is there a way that I can fix this.

I would try deleting a few apps. Remove live wallpapers if applied. Remove always on display. Delete unused pictures/videos. Restart your device at least weekly. Delete some messages if the messages app is slow. You can turn off animations in developer options.
IMHO Updating normally doesn't help with the speed of the phone.
Overheating and studdering could be a rogue app, too much installed on the phone, or failing hardware. Hard to tell. I personally would backup all my data then factory data reset. If the phone works fine afterwards it's likely rogue apps/too much on the phone. If not then it's time to possibly spring for a new one. Preferably not the same model so you don't have the same issue

HI, I am sorry to hear of this behavior from your A32, and can understand the frustration and inconveniences. As @Jnewell05 pointed out, periodic restarts, maintenance via getting rid of unused apps or files, and turning off unnecessary features can drastically improve device behavior. To test the rogue app hypothesis, you can utilize Safe Mode and the guide for it: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
Also, yes, if you plan to do or need to do a factory reset, back up all your data first. A guide to doing that can be found here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/
For battery and temperature maintenance and management, you can use this guide: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00076952/

Another thing that can improve device behavior is to clear your device's cache partition, which you can do with these steps:

• Ensure the device is powered off. If the device is unresponsive/frozen, press and hold the Power button for approximately 10 seconds or until the device power cycles.
• Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Home button.
• While continuing to hold the Home and Volume Up buttons, press and hold the Power button until 'RECOVERY BOOTING' appears in the upper left then release all buttons.
• Select wipe cache partition. Utilize the Volume Up/Down buttons to highlight and the Power button to select.
• Select reboot system now. Option is highlighted, utilize the Power button to select.

The last guide you will need is one for handling freezes and crashing on your device: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001416/

If those steps do not help, then it may be time to get your A32 evaluated at a service center. You can view repair options at https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service
