Bixby routine dosen't restart WiFi after stopping it (for some reason)

Hey folks.

Samsung Galaxy A50 running Android 11

My first time with Bixby.

I found an Internet article that explained how to create a routing that will check for the strength of the current wifi and if below some somenuber of bars, will stop the wifi and then retsar the wifi this time connecting to a stronger wifi signal.

This routine certinly detects the current wifi strength and stops the wifi, but it dosen't seem to be able to start the wifi anew when the routine has completed.

So, for now, I need to manually start the wifi and then of course, it automatically connects to whatever wifi has the strongest signal in my immediate are.

What am I doing wrong do you think ?

Any help world be greatly appreciated.

Here are the instructions that I followed to the letter.

1. Open Bixby Routines app.

2. Tap on Add Routine.

3. On If, tap the + button.

4. Scroll to find and tap on Wi-Fi Strength.

5. Select 2 bars or less and tap on Done.

6. On Then, tap the + button.

7. Tap on Connections and then Wi-Fi.

8. Select Off and tap on Done.

9. On When routine ends, make sure you have enable the Reverse actions so it sets the Wi-Fi back to On state.

10. Name your routine and tap on Done.

To get it to reverse the actions, you need to stop the routine.

I was really excited about this routine because it is exacly what I need.

And the "poster" says it works perfectly for him.

It's dosen't indicate anything at all about needing the "end" the routine.

But sure enough, if I tap on the icon for the running routine, then the three vertical dots in the upper right and then tap on "Disable this routine", wifi turns back on, like it should.

I'm not just trying to figure out how to get this routine to end automatically as soon as it has turned off WiFi.

I;m so confused and would of course be greatful for any advice.

 you need to have the routine turn off then turn back on the routine.

In the Then section. look for Action List. In there set WiFi - Off then add another that is WiFi - On.

add this to the step after your initial WiFi - Off action.

It won't turn it on automatically but it'll let you choose to enable wifi again and search for strongest network.

If:

wifi below 2 bars

Then:

WiFi - Off

Action List (WiFi - Off & WiFi - On)

You can't do this? At least samsung won't let me.

as soon as wifi - off is added, there is no option to add a second wifi - on, or even configure the first wifi to be a off/on

and like the Original Poster said.

they have "when the routine ends: wifi - ON"

however when you save this the wifi is saved to off and won't turn back on. and if you edit and change to off then the reverse actions just goes away completely.

I am still trawling for a solution as there should be one and it looks like samsung have intentionally stifled this by only allowing an object to be selected once in the IFTTT routine.

and the reverse conditions obviously isn't functioning as expected.

I have attached my routine that works great at turning my wifi off, just never back on

I found a workaround solution:

1. Add a regular routine that if the WIFI is below 2 bars then disconnect it and disable reversing this routine.
2. For as many WIFI networks as needed add a new routine called "WIFI Network" and use the "Disconnected" from network as trigger (please provide the network name). As the action for this routing use WIFI - ON. Do not enable anything as action reversal.
