I replaced a broken s20fe with the A25. 

How do I recover the data from my old phone when it will not switch on.

You can restore your old phone's cloud backup to the new phone. This will restore your apps, settings and layout (except what might be incompatible). I believe you can selectively restore items from the backup.

Send it to a shop that does data recovery if it isn't backed up on cloud or elsewhere.
