I had 2 fingerprints registered on my A51 5G and one of my fingers has a cut and bandaid. So go to use 2nd finger, and doesn't work. Then TRY EVERY finger, with no success.

So tried to enter new finger, and the sensor will give haptic feedback, then not retain or register ANY fingerpresses at all. It temporarily makes some lines on the print, then they disappear.

Hello, welcome to the Community, and thanks for reaching out about this. I can see how inconvenient this is for you not registering your fingerprints. Your phone's fingerprint sensor provides a convenient and secure way to unlock your phone, and keeps your personal information safe. If you are having trouble using your fingerprint sensor there are a few things to consider: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01200322/
We also recommend running the Diagnostics under the Support tab in the Samsung Members app.

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician.

You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S.: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by calling customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
