My fingerprint sensor stopped working. I restarted my device and it still doesn't work. HELP!!!!

Have you tried to add another fingerprint to your device?
If the sensor on the power button gets scratched badly it won't work

I have tried to add another and it won't let me. I saw no damage to that area on the power button which is where the fingerprint sensor is.

It still might be broken, if you take it to a Ubreakifixit, they will run a diagnostic test for free.
